Percy is learning a useful skill from his dad this summer. Walter is teaching him carpentry and the two of them have made a very special fence – the Fen-Seater! It’s just what every garden needs – a place where you can have a snack, read, or just unwind!
Percy is now here to help you make one for yourself! Build a Design Workshop so you can decide what your Fen-Seater should look like. You’ll need plenty of woodchips, so make sure you have enough hedgehogs on your farm. Once your fence is complete, you’ll get a baby Black Baldy Mini Cow.
If you are level 15 or higher, the “Swing For The Fences!” popup will appear. Click on the “Start Building” button to begin the feature.
To start building, you must first collect all the materials needed for the Workshop.
Next, you need to ask friends to help or hire them as builders.
The finished Design Workshop, which is automatically placed outside your farm, will look like this:
Click on the building to open the menu and start designing your fence. On the right side of the Design workshop is the blueprint for the Fen-Seater. Next to it are the different parts that can be used to customize the fence.
To unlock the parts, you need to collect Design Points.
You must unlock the Wooden Fence part before you can unlock the next part of your fence. When you have enough Design Points, the Wooden Fence part is unlocked and you can toggle between the buttons to choose which of the 2 designs you like for the Fen-Seater.
How do you collect Design Points? There are three easy ways to get them:
1. Complete the tasks shown in the task shelves on the left of the workshop.
These tasks are locked and you can access them by raising or getting adult hedgehogs. Note that the required number of hedgehogs is different for each task shelf.
Get as many hedgehogs as you can because hedgehogs not only unlock tasks, but also provide the woodchips that will be used for crafting. You get woodchips when you feed your adult hedgehogs.
2. Complete quests in the “Matchmaker, Matchmaker!” line of quests.
3. Post for help so your friends can send you one.
You can start completing tasks once you have enough hedgehogs on your farm. When completing tasks, note that each task gives out a different number of Design Points.
Know how many Design Points you have collected by checking the counter at the lower left part of the Workshop.
Whilst collecting the Design Points, you not only unlock the parts of your fence, but also win rewards by reaching specific milestones.
5 Design Points = unlocks the Wooden Fence part
25 Design Points = European Birch Tree
55 Design Points = unlocks the Hanging Vines part
100 Design Points = Resource Pack
180 Design Points = unlocks the Throw Pillows part, baby Black Baldy Mini Cow, and 10 Favors.
Note: When you reach a milestone that unlocks a part of the Fen-Seater, you’re unlocking the customization choices for that part and not the physical part itself. You’ll get to keep the whole Fen-Seater once you finish the feature after unlocking all the parts.
The Fen-Seater is a wonderful addition to your farm, so start designing one and get great rewards!
